I Just Got Permission from the Wife to Get an iPhone
Well... I think that the title speaks for itself, but a little back story on the audio below: I met with a prospective freelance client tonight about a job. Dana proceeded to to tell me I could get an iPhone (2nd Gen/3G, of course) if the client gave me $1,000 up-front. I then got her to repeat it while I recorded it into my Mac with Audacity.

It’s not that I HAD to ask permission. Dana and I do our finances together and make decisions based on what would be best for the household.
If I get this freelance job, it would be VERY GOOD for the household so, since I’ll be doing the extra work to get the extra money, we decided together that I could get one.
It’s the same principle when she wants new clothes or a new pair of shoes.
Pretty much any purchase over $10 we talk about beforehand.
