Funny Mac Activity Monitor Statistics
I was encoding something in Flash Video Encoder today and noticed some peculiar statistics coming from Activity Monitor:
16.7 million terabytes of shared memory, huh? Looks like a programmer was doing some pretty lazy calculations there.
According to my system information, I've only got 2gb of ram installed and a 120gb hard drive, so that's kind of impossible.

But Mark, don’t you know that’s the shared memory of the interwebs?!

You see, the new mac OS uses ALL THE POWER OF THE INTERTUBES to bring you that Mac-only experience. Plus, it actually requires terabytes of memory to run it. Oh, BTW, that’s TERRORBITES in Dept. of Homey’s Security speak.

cause it’s the apple way . . .
What makes me scratch my head is the 45 GB of VM on a 120 GB hdd.
Crap. Now I see why I have to have additional storage . . .
