My Nano Is Acting Funky – Album Artwork Doesn’t Match The Song (FIXED)
My iPod nano has been acting funky for a few weeks. For some reason the iPod gets confused about the album artwork and displays a completely different (and often hilarious) artwork for the song that's currently playing.
Here's a humorous example: I started listening to 'For A Fair Desire' by Zao and the cover art for Mario Frangoulis (a classical/opera singer) came up. Funny to say the least... a hardcore/deathmetal band with the art of a classical album.
So I did some googling and came up with this site.
Since this seems to be such a big problem, and to make life easier for everyone, I have created some simple steps for you to follow to get your iPod Nano (or Video[/5G]) to display the correct album art.Follow these 8 simple steps.
- Plug you iPod into your computer and open iTunes.
- In iTunes, goto Edit -> Preferences -> iPod
- Deselect “Display album artwork on your iPod” -> close the properties window.
- Your iPod will update. So wait (should take a few seconds).
- Repeat step “2″
- Select “Display album artwork on your iPod” -> close the properties window.
- Your iPod will update. So wait (may take a minute or two).
- Tada! Your iPod should be back to its original greatness.
...worked like a charm.
Aparrently, the issues arises because of disconnecting your iPod from the computer while the iPod's screen says 'Do Not Disconnect'. Maybe I'll be more apt to follow the iPod rules from now on (probably not).
